Aims of Course:
This course is designed to develop the competence of users in the operation of computers. Teaching and learning will be hands-on in a computer-equipped classroom. Topics include: information technology concepts, word processing, spreadsheets, multimedia presentations, and databases.
Learning Experiences:
The course is offered in 40 hours of lectures with individual exercises, project work and problem solving
Course Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able:
- To use and understand IT concept in general
- To develop basic computer knowledge by providing an overview of the computer hardware and basic components
- To obtain basic knowledge of networking
- To be able to use common software applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Internet and Email.
