Course Description:
This course exposes all aspects of phonetics: articulator, acoustic, and auditory; phonetic notations and transcription; ear training and performance. It provides an introduction to the production, recognition, and transcription of speech sounds. Emphasis is on articulation phonetics and English sound system.
