Course Description:
This course studies the phonological, syntactic and lexical developments through the history of old, middle, and modern eras. An emphasis is on the nature and the mechanism of language change over time with respect to the historical changes and conditions. It deals with the phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicon, and semantics in the different historical periods.
