Admission Requirement
For admission to an undergraduate degree program applicants must hold one of the following:
Baccalaureate part II or the Official Technical Baccalaureate certificate (BT3)
A secondary school certificate/diploma equivalent to the Lebanese Baccalaureate, such as, the French Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate, the German Abitur, or the Tawjihieh
A high school diploma with an official academic authorization to pursue a foreign program from the ministry of education and higher education
Entrance Exams:
English Entrance Examination (EEE) or the International TOEFL
Math Placement Examination for certain majors
SAT I & II (for Freshman Program)
Applications for admission are available at the Admissions Office. The application for admission should be accompanied by the following documents:
A photocopy of an identity card or passport
A photocopy of a family identity card
6 recent passport-size photos
Certified copies of all official certificates
The score of the International TOEFL if available
A certified transcript of grades for the last three years of school
For admission to a graduate degree program applicants must hold:
A bachelor degree from an accredited university or institute.
A graduate application should be accompanied by the following documents:
An official academic transcript, an official copy of the applicant’s degree & two recommendation letters.
A photocopy of an identity card or passport
A photocopy of a family identity card
6 recent passport-size photos
Who Can Apply for Admission?
Admission to the Freshman Program is offered to all applicants, Lebanese and non-Lebanese, who hold a high school diploma or a secondary school certificate showing twelve years of schooling starting from Elementary I. The diploma or certificate must be from either a private or public school recognized by both the Ministry of Education
and American University of Culture & Education (AUCE).
Admission Requirements for Lebanese Students
- Lebanese applicants seeking admission to the Freshman Program should obtain a written permission from the Ministry of Education to pursue a higher education degree based on a foreign program , (السماح بمتابعة الدراسة حسب المنهج الاجنبي)
- Transcripts of grades 10, 11, and 12.
- Students must successfully complete their required Freshman courses, and meet the credit requirements set by the Ministry of Education Equivalence Committee and the American University of Culture & Education (AUCE).
Requirements for the Lebanese Government Equivalency
Students can have their Freshman Degree equated to the Lebanese Baccalaureate Part II, by providing the following
documents to the Ministry of Education:
- Transcripts of Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12.
- A written authorization to pursue a foreign (American system) program.

- SAT I and SAT II results
- University transcripts showing the successful completion of 30 credits in the required subjects (see Table 2)
*SAT II may be taken during the first semester of the student’s enrollment into the university.
The Ministry of Education Equivalency Committee specifies that both SAT I and SAT II must be taken as follows:
FRESHMAN ARTS
- SAT I- Reading Writing and Mathematics
- SAT II-Math 1 or Math 1C
- One Science-Biology, Physics, or Chemistry
- English-Writing or Literature
- A total score of 2150 or above is required on both the SAT I and SAT II
FRESHMAN SCIENCES
- SAT I-Reading Writing and Mathematics
- SAT II-Math 2C
- Two Sciences-Biology, Physics, or Chemistry
- A total score of 2300 or above is required on both the SAT I and SAT II
